Olympics To Introduce Skateboarding In 2020 ?

Last week, roller-sports was shortlisted for inclusion in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Organisers are looking to appeal to younger generations and skateboarding could be perfect to fit the bill.

The first ever street skating world rankings have therefore been introduced to help organise in preparation for the potential of an Olympic platform. Contests such as Street League, the Dew Tour, and the Skateboarding World Championships all add to the rankings that have been created representing 2014:

1. Kelvin Hoefler – Brazil
2. Nyjah Huston – United States
3. Ryan Decenzo – Canada (the list, for what it's worth, says United States.)
4. Ishod Wair – United States
5. Luan Oliveira – Brazil
6. Trevor Colden – United States
7. Chaz Ortiz – United States
8. Alec Majerus – United States
10. Shane O’Neill – Australia
